Partnering With You For Your Success

My name is Tina Farrell and I am so excited to be part of the IcareLabs team. I have worked in the optical industry for over 33 years and have been a customer of IcareLabs for over 15 years. Working with them from the outside only grew my desire to be part of something so special.

As an optician, I most loved helping patients improve their vision by understanding what options work best for their specific lifestyles. I also love seeing businesses thrive by taking the best care of their patients and their employees. 

What I am most excited about with Icare is partnering with other optical professionals to improve their businesses by helping patients see better with glasses that fit their lifestyle and their budget. I think it’s important as an optical professional to find out what’s important to the patient.

Finding the best fit frame for your patient within their budget

I believe not every patient needs the highest-priced lenses. They may simply need two or three pairs of the least expensive lenses. As eye care professionals, it’s our job to figure out what they need and how much they can afford, then and match up the best solution for them. Of course, I wish every patient could have 5 pairs of the best lenses money can buy, but that’s not the reality.

I love to troubleshoot. When a patient has a complaint, I love to dig into the science and figure out the solution. Is it the prescription or the glasses is the first question I try to answer when troubleshooting. Adjusting glasses is an art we don’t spend enough time talking about, learning, or practicing. It’s like a magic wand only eye care professionals have in their toolbox.

If that’s not the problem going through the checklist of optics to find the answer is the next step. That "aha" moment when you realize the missing link so that you can have a happy patient is glorious. 
I love working with and building a team. The synergy of a high-functioning team fuels me. I enjoy helping the team learn and empowering them to problem solve as individuals and together as a team.

Together everyone achieves more when working as a teamWhat I look most forward to is partnering with you, our customers, and helping you not only dispense the best pair of lenses but to be more successful as a business altogether. We are going to talk about share of wallet, average sales price, and capture rate. These are 3 key terms with real meaning. By us focusing on these three fundamental items we will see success together in 2022.

Success to me is when the team has partnered with each other to be better partners to the optical industry. Together we will profit from our success. Together we will help our patients see better. Every lens truly has a story.
